Watford celebrate their win over Leicester City on Tuesday
Nigel Pearson has told his Leicester City squad to tighten up at the back following their 3-2 Championship defeat to Watford.
David Nugent's double cancelled out Adrian Mariappa's opener for the Hornets, however, Sean Murray ensured parity by the break.Craig Forsyth struck the winner with 10 minutes remaining, although the home side finished the game a man light after Lloyd Doyley saw red.It is now a year since Leicester recorded back-to-back wins and Pearson wants more consistency from his troops.Consistency"We need to be better and more efficient and more consistent - simple as that," said Pearson. "The goals that we conceded were poor goals."We didn't start the game well enough, scored two exceptionally good goals and that should be enough to win the game but we've made some poor decisions on the night and it's cost us dearly."We know their style of play, they do it very well, but when we played football in their half we caused them all sorts of problems."It's now a year since Leicester recorded back-to-back wins and Pearson continued: "I've just told the players that I don't want to hear anybody talking about the season being over."It doesn't enter my mindset as far as I'm concerned and I don't expect anybody else within our ranks to be talking in those terms as well."QualityWatford boss Sean Dyche has spent a fraction assembling his squad compared to Leicester stars and he was delighted to see off the Foxes."It was a great win against a very powerful squad, let alone side, that have been put together for multi-millions," commented Dyche."We knew it would be a tough task and it was sure to be with a couple of quality finishes but out lads have built a great resolve."The feel of the team and the fans here and their connection is really important to what we do and it was a good night for all."Read more http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7522395/
