Walter Mazzarri: The Napoli boss believed his players gave their all against City
Manager Walter Mazzarri expects Napoli to pay the domestic price for their heroics against Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League.
The Serie A club defeated the Premier League billionaires courtesy of two goals from Edinson Cavani either side of Mario Balotelli's equaliser in Italy on Tuesday night. It puts Napoli, who drew with City in England on Matchday One, in the driving seat to reach the last 16, while Roberto Mancini's side can only live in hope. And Mazzarri expects his players to struggle from fatigue when they return to league action after giving their all against City.He told Sky Italia: "City are a really strong side. I saw their match with Newcastle and they were great.Risk"Today, it wasn't easy to think about being able to win. But it is always difficult to do what we have done today."We could probably lose a few points in the Italian league for the effort we put in to a match like this. Now, football is played every two days, with practically the same players."If you change a lot, you risk suffering too much. Only few clubs can have a big group to play at the same level in all competitions."Both games with City have been exploitation. In the first leg, we also gambled to win, when it was our Champions League debut."But today's game has been the most difficult. Between the first and the second half, I did a little change in tactics."We started in a really positive way and we showed our best game"Read more http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/7326417/
