FA Cup: Stourbridge provided the shock of the night in the first round replays

Non-league Stourbridge conjured up the shock of the FA Cup games on Tuesday night after getting the better of 10-man Plymouth 2-0 at home, while there were narrow victories for Gillingham, AFC Wimbledon and Southend in their first round replays.

Southern League Premier Division side Stourbridge reached the second round for the first time in their history, thanks to goals from Paul McCone and Sean Evans in the first round replay against League Two's bottom side, with Paul Bignot sent off in the first half for the visitors.Blue Square Bet Premier side Grimsby qualified for the second round following a narrow 1-0 victory over League Two team Port Vale, Serge Makofo's goal just before the hour mark proving to be the difference between the two teams.Blue Square Bet Premier leaders Wrexham reached the second round with goals from Mathias Pogba and Danny Wright leading them to a 2-1 win over Cambridge, who scored late through Michael Wylde.Fellow Blue Square Bet Premier club Tamworth booked a second round berth after a dramatic 1-0 win over Hinckley, Kieron St Aimie bundling home a Liam McDonald corner in the final moments of the encounter.Blue Square South team Maidenhead United went down 2-0 at Aldershot, thanks to first-half goals from Luke Guttridge and Alex Rodman.League Two side AFC Wimbledon progressed to the next round after shocking Scunthorpe 1-0 away in their first round replay, Luke Moore with the only goal.Liam Dickinson volleyed a 55th-minute winner as Southend saw off Preston by the same score at Roots Hall, and second-half strikes from Garry Richards and Stefan Payne helped Gillingham hang on for a 3-2 home win over Bournemouth.Isthmian Division One North Redbridge needed extra-time to get the better of Oxford City as they won 2-1 away, and will be the lowest ranked team in the second round of the FA Cup.
