Winger Matt Jarvis has been tipped by boss Mick McCarthy to be one of the stars of Wolves' season after their weekend win at Blackburn.
McCarthy was quick to praise up-and-coming star Jarvis after he set up the opening goal for Steven Fletcher last weekend as Wolves opened up the new campaign with a 2-1 at Ewood Park.
All the winger talk on the eve of the new season has been about Jarvis' England colleague Ashley Young and Stewart Downing following their big-money moves over the summer but McCarthy is delighted to have Jarvis at his disposal and, having paid Gillingham just £400,000 for his services four years ago, believes his value will soar over the coming months.
The manager told the Daily Star: "He's a terrific player who has played for his country. What's lovely about him is that, for all his skills and artistic qualities, he's a grafter.
"He puts the work in - he'll run back and defend. It's expected of him but he does it willingly."
