Ivan Klasnic: Bagged a brace as Bolton brushed aside Stoke at the Reebok

Ivan Klasnic hopes Bolton can enjoy a 'new start' after exorcising their Stoke demons with a crushing 5-0 victory on Sunday.

The Potters exacted revenge for an FA Cup mauling at the hands of the Potters in their latest Premier League outing.Since being hammered by Tony Pulis' side at Wembley in April, Bolton went on run that brought them just two wins in 13 outings. They are hoping that a star showing at the Reebok over the weekend has seen them turn the corner, with a slow start to the current campaign having left them slugging it out towards the foot of the table.Klasnic believes their luck has changed and is confident Owen Coyle's side can push on after settling a score with Stoke."Before the game I was with the club chaplain and we spoke about what we would pray about," said the Croatian striker, who netted twice against the Potters.Good sign"I said all the negative scores started with Stoke when we lost 5-0 in the FA Cup semi-final."I said this was a game we needed to win and change from the negative to the positive."I hope it is a good sign for us. It is a new start. I think we are going to be positive."Bolton continue to occupy 18th spot in the table but, with games against West Brom and Everton on the horizon, Klasnic sees no reason why they cannot start to haul themselves clear of trouble."I think we have a great team. At the moment we are at the bottom but we are better than this," he told Wanderers Player."We want to do better than last season. We have nine points now and we need to go on."We are now playing against the teams who are a little bit in front of us so we need to win these games, it is important."
