With the only remaining perfect record in the UEFA Europa League, RSC Anderlecht were one of five clubs to confirm their place in the round of 32 on matchday four.
Anderlecht won 3-0 against ten-man SK Sturm Graz to move on to 12 points in Group L and second-placed FC Lokomotiv Moskva need only a draw from their last two games to join them, after winning 3-1 at AEK Athens FC. Also through are Athletic Club, who had Ander Herrera to thank for a 1-0 success at FC Salzburg. The race for the other qualification spot in Group F is being led by Paris Saint-Germain FC, who were victorious by the same margin against ŠK Slovan Bratislava.
Dutch duo PSV Eindhoven and FC Twente are in the hat with two games to spare, although both their matches featured dramatic finishes. PSV fought back from 3-1 down to gain a point at home to Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC and will be joined by Legia Warszawa as Group C qualifiers after they overcame FC Rapid Bucureşti 3-1. Twente also came from behind to beat Odense BK 3-2 and claim one of the Group K places, with Fulham FC leading the chase for the other after beating Wisła Kraków 4-1.
FC Rubin Kazan's 1-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur FC in the early game, and PAOK FC's second victory against eliminated Shamrock Rovers FC, has made Group A very tight with one point separating the top three. Group H is even closer, Club Brugge KV, Birmingham City FC and SC Braga all on seven points. The Portuguese side were the night's biggest winners, beating NK Maribor 5-1.
Club Atlético de Madrid also chalked up a four-goal victory against Udinese Calcio to move ahead of their Italian visitors in Group I, while Stoke City FC and FC Metalist Kharkiv are both sitting pretty on ten points in their respective pools after picking victories tonight. Elsewhere, the sole matchday three qualifiers, Sporting Clube de Portugal, went down to a surprise loss at FC Vaslui.
