Bas Dost: Notched a quick-fire hat-trick as Heerenveen thrashed 10-man ADO Den Haag

Leroy Fer earned a draw for FC Twente in their top-of-the-table clash with PSV Eindhoven, while bottom side Excelsior claimed their first win in the Eredivisie.

Second-placed PSV Eindhoven were held to a 2-2 draw at third-placed FC Twente, with both sides now three points behind leaders AZ Alkmaar, who play Heracles on Sunday.Douglas put Twente ahead in the tenth minute but Zakaria Labyad replied for PSV a minute later.Marcelo then added a second for PSV on 64 minutes before the visitors were reduced to ten men when Kevin Strootman received his marching orders for a professional foul.Twente made their numerical advantage pay-off when substitute Fer rescued a point for the hosts with a 78th minute leveller.Ajax followed up their midweek cup triumph over Roda JC with another convincing victory over the same opponents to end their five-match winless streak in the Eredivisie.Four days after a 4-2 win in Kerkrade sent Ajax through to the last 16 of the KNVB Cup, the Amsterdam club were celebrating again thanks to four unanswered goals from Christian Eriksen, Theo Janssen, Jody Lukoki and Lorenzo Ebicilio.Ajax had slumped to sixth in the table following their poor recent run, eight points behind leaders AZ Alkmaar, but coach Frank de Boer will hope Saturday's win will see them start to climb back up the standings.Hat-trickBas Dost scored a quick-fire second-half hat-trick as Heerenveen thrashed 10-man ADO Den Haag in their match at the Abe Lenstra Stadion.Luciano Narsingh opened the scoring two minutes before the break before Dost scored three times in 10 minutes to earn Heerenveen their fourth league win of the season.ADO defender Christian Supusepa was given a straight red card and conceded a penalty in the 76th minute when he stepped on Narsingh's ankle in a reckless challenge.Dost duly converted the spot kick and the 22-year-old forward scored his second five minutes later, also from the spot, after Gabor Horvath fouled him in the area.Narsingh then set up Dost's third three minutes from the final whistle when he crossed the ball to the far post, allowing the striker to prod home from close range.An own goal from Ard van Peppen gifted Excelsior their first win of the Eredivisie season over hapless RKC Waalwijk.Guy Ramos and Henrico Drost were also sent off on a night to forget for the visitors, who suffered their fourth away defeat of the season.The win was not enough to lift Excelsior off the foot of the standings, but will have lifted confidence among a side who had lost eight of their 10 previous league matches.
