Goal joy: Juanlu (right) celebrates after helping fire Levante to the top of the Primera Liga on Sunday

Juanlu notched a brace as Levante beat Villarreal to go top of the Primera Liga on Sunday, while Osasuna and Rayo Vallecano also won.

Juanlu scored in the 16th and 43rd minutes to hand Levante the advantage at Villarreal, with Arouna Kone making sure of the win 13 minutes after the re-start.The victory saw the unbeaten visitors - who were registering their sixth consecutive win - climb to the top of the Primera Liga table for the first time in their history, sitting a point ahead of Real Madrid and two clear of Barcelona.Osasuna produced a dominant display to blow away Real Zaragoza 3-0 in their clash at the Reyno de Navarra.Zaragoza failed to defend set-pieces all afternoon and Raul Garcia scored the opener after 18 minutes when the visitors failed the clear a long throw into the box.Nino doubled the advantage from another throw-in and Javad Nekounam scored the pick of the goals with a fantastic looping header after half an hour.ComfortablyJose Luis Mendilibar's men then comfortably saw the game out to record their first win in six games and move above Zaragoza to 10th in the table.Rayo Vallecano earned their second league win of the season thanks to two late goals in a hard-fought clash against fellow promoted side Real Betis.Rayo midfielder Lass opened the scoring in the 80th minute before Sergio Koke doubled the lead from the penalty spot a minute before the final whistle to help Rayo climb away from the relegation zone. The result consigned Betis to their fourth straight league defeat after the Segunda Division champions started the season with four consecutive wins.Atletico Madrid ended a three-match run without a goal in the Primera Liga but were still unable to see off Real Mallorca at the Vicente Calderon.Gregorio Manzano's inconsistent side conceded a penalty within the opening 30 seconds when the referee adjudged Silvio had handled Fernando Tissone's pass inside the area.ClinicalTomer Hemed was clinical from the spot, firing down the centre - the first goal Atletico had conceded at home this season. But summer signing Radamel Falcao replied from the spot two minutes before half-time to salvage a point after Ivan Ramis had nudged the Colombian in the back.Pedro Leon struck the bar in the last minute as Getafe had to settle for a point in a largely uneventful goalless draw at Real Sociedad. The result leaves Getafe just above the relegation zone with only one win and six points to their credit this season, while Sociedad are two points better off after bringing an end to their three-match losing streak.Roberto Soldado grabbed a late equaliser to salvage a draw for Valencia after Athletic Bilbao had threatened to extend Los Che's miserable run.The home side had won just one of their previous six competitive games heading into the contest and went behind after 72 minutes when 18-year-old Iker Muniain again highlighted his vast potential with a wonderful opener. But with time running out Soldado scored an equally fine equaliser, rounding Athletic goalkeeper Gorka Iraizoz and tapping in from a tight angle.
