FC Barcelona will be without Gerard Piqué for Wednesday's UEFA Champions League match at FC Viktoria Plzeň after the centre-back suffered a left hamstring strain during Saturday's Liga triumph at home against Real Racing Club.
Only recently back from a calf tear, the 24-year-old was substituted in the ninth minute of the 3-0 win at the Camp Nou and is now expected to be sidelined for around 15 days. Piqué also faces a race to be fit in time for the return fixture against the Czech champions in Prague.
The UEFA Champions League holders – who already have Cesc Fàbregas, Alexis Sánchez and Ibrahim Affelay out injured – have collected four points from their two Group H encounters against AC Milan and FC BATE Borisov.
