Forest interests Ince

Former England midfielder Paul Ince admits he would be interested in the vacant Nottingham Forest managerial position.

The Championship strugglers are on the lookout for a new boss after Steve McClaren resigned following the recent 3-1 home defeat to Birmingham.Ince has been out of work since leaving local rivals Notts County in April but he insists he would only return to management at the right club. The former Blackburn, MK Dons and Macclesfield boss told Sky Sports News: "I don't want to keep fire-fighting."They are a fantastic club, fantastic stadium, fantastic fanbase and they've got young players who need to be given a bit of motivation and a bit of passion and, you know, that's part of my game.""
Paul InceQuotes of the week"I keep going to clubs and you turn the team around and then obviously you don't get the money to spend so I don't want to kind of rush into it."It's got to be a club where I can buy a few players, build a team like I did at MK Dons and that takes time so I'll wait and see what happens."TalkAsked if Forest would be a possibility, he replied: "Listen, I'll talk to anybody if they were interested."As I've said, it doesn't have to be Premiership or Championship. If a club was moving the right way, in the right direction, then of course I would."Forest is a fantastic club so I think anyone would be foolish not to talk to them but last time I saw there were about 50,000 applicants so you never know!"As I say, they are a fantastic club, fantastic stadium, fantastic fanbase and they've got young players who need to be given a bit of motivation and a bit of passion and, you know, that's part of my game."
