Gareth Bale: Hit the decisive second as in-form Wales grabbed another win against Switzerland
Wales star Gareth Bale has pinpointed September's win over Montenegro as a key turning point in his country's fortunes.
Gary Speed's men followed up that impressive 2-1 victory with a brave performance in the narrow defeat to England at Wembley before beating Switzerland 2-0 in their final home qualifying match on Friday.Bale feels the players now have renewed confidence going into games and that is transmitting into more positive results and performances on the field."I think the belief that we have got is key, the victory against Montenegro has lifted everybody, even the fans," Bale told Sky Sports.Pleasing"It has given us more belief and we go out there more confident and more organised and that is what we produce."Despite Wales' hopes of reaching Euro 2012 being ended some time ago, captain Aaron Ramsey insists the win over the Swiss gave hope for the future."It's a pleasing performance to win the game and I thought we progressed a bit more and showed we can dig in to get these sorts of results," said Ramsey."Hopefully now we can take that into Tuesday's game and keep on building."Read more http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_7230250,00.html
